tales from the litterbox

A plethora of unwanted facts, or a wealth of useless knowledge. Maybe just everyday oddities. Will I be crafty enough to pull it all off?

an awesome cookie

A friend of mine made this awesome cookie for her presentation at work on bi-ceps (actually it was some other fancy pants technical words that I don't know type presentation) Anyway, it doesn't really matter except for the fact that this is one kick ass cookie! Kudos.
I would also like to add that she made the cookie cutter for this bad boy using a pie plate, a piece of cardboard and some tape. She's like some sort of MacGyver Stewart.

ladder golf

Introducing a little game called ladder golf or snake balls, as Theresa would call it (which is just ridiculous) It involves throwing golf balls that are joined together on a rope at a "ladder" made of pvc piping. Each rung of the ladder is worth different points and the first one to 21 wins the game. We crafted this ladder golf ourselves one weekend, and if I must say so myself, I think we did a good job! (especially Theresa, Mike and Mark)
Theresa and I are a rather dangerous duo and we will challenge and defeat anyone who tries to get in our way of a ladder golf victory.

canadian dollar at par

For the first time since 1976 the Canadian dollar has reached par with the American dollar. Now, I'm sure this will result in terrible tragic business type stuff, but I'll tell you what it means to me. I'm going shopping and to hockey games, and buying stuff on ebay, and feeling all around pride in my countries money. Way to go loonie, you kick that US dollars ass. Everybody in the car, we're going to the Galleria!

Avast ye scurvy dogs, today is International talk like a pirate day, mateys. And in honarrrr of this day, here be the top ten pick up lines to use to get that special wench to walk yer plank and seize their booty.

10 . Avast, me proud beauty! Wanna know why my Roger is so Jolly?

9. Have ya ever met a man with a real yardarm?

8. Come on up and see me urchins.

7. Yes, that is a hornpipe in my pocket and I am happy to see you.

6. I'd love to drop anchor in your lagoon.

5. Pardon me, but would ya mind if fired me cannon through your porthole?

Bonus pickup lines (when the ones above don't work, as they often won't)

They don’t call me Long John because my head is so big.

You’re drinking a Salty Dog? How’d you like to try the real thing?

Wanna shiver me timbers?

I’ve sailed the seven seas, and you’re the sleekest schooner I’ve ever sighted.

Brwaack! Polly want a cracker? … Oh, wait. That’s for Talk Like a PARROT Day.

That’s the finest pirate booty I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Let's get together and haul some keel.

That’s some treasure chest you’ve got there.

Top Ten Pickup Lines for the Lady Pirates

10. What are YOU doing here?

9. Is that a belayin' pin in yer britches, or are ye ... (this one is never completed)

8. Come show me how ye bury yer treasure, lad!

7. So, tell me, why do they call ye, "Cap'n Feathersword?"

6. That's quite a cutlass ye got thar, what ye need is a good scabbard!

the nhl is about to shake things up!

Winter Classic : 2008

A huge thank you to my US American friends, such as the Steve, who snagged us some of these hugely sought after tickets! I can't wait to see my lover Sidney in sub zero temperatures while freezing my nads off. I couldn't think of a better way to spend New Years Day 2008!

my new friend

As I said in my previous post, I got a new camera for my birthday! The Canon Digital Rebel XT. I really really like it, I might even dare say I love it! I look forward to learning all about my new toy, and hopefully I can learn how to use all the manual functions. And perhaps I may take a class, to be able to get full use out of my camera. I can't wait to hopefully take some amazing pictures!

happy birthday to me!

Today I turn the big 3-1. It's not so bad, I guess. I think once you get over the 30 hump, everything is downhill from there, and it isn't so painful anymore. Until you start thinking about your eggs.
I'm all dried up. I'm barren.
